Our Mission
The NALC is the sole collective bargaining agent for city letter carriers employed by the USPS. We are dedicated to the professional and personal well-being of our members through legislative advocacy, contract enforcement, and community service.
A Legacy of Strength
Founded in 1889: Started by 60 visionary carriers in Milwaukee.
The 1970 Strike: The historic turning point that secured the right to collective bargaining.
Modern Reform: Leading the charge for the Postal Service Reform Act of 2022 to ensure the future of the mail.

Collective Bargaining: We negotiate the National Agreement to ensure competitive wages and benefits.
Safety First: Resources for heat safety, dog bite prevention, and the "Protect Our Letter Carriers" initiative against crime.
Health & Retirement: Access to the NALC Health Benefit Plan and expert guidance on FERS/CSRS retirement systems.
